Both self-guided and guided options exist. Either way, you'll walk through the first-team dressing room, the mixed zone, the players' tunnel down onto pitch level, and the actual match-day benches, plus the press room where manager Diego "Cholo" Simeone faces the media weekly and the presidential box with its full-stadium views. The guided version (around an hour) adds an official guide sharing club history and anecdotes throughout; the self-guided route lets you move at your own pace.
The Atleti Tour & Museum, spanning around 1,400 square metres, covers the club's history from its 1903 founding to today through touchscreens, VR stations and interactive displays — a noticeably more modern, tech-forward presentation than a traditional glass-case trophy room. Real trophies and memorabilia are still the backbone of it, just presented with more interactivity than the historic-club norm.
Functionally similar — both offer a behind-the-scenes stadium walk plus a club history museum — but the Metropolitano draws considerably smaller crowds, meaning a more relaxed pace and shorter queues. Tour access can be limited or modified around matches and first-team training sessions without much notice — check before travelling out to this part of the city specifically for the tour, since it's a genuine trek if you have to turn back.
The stadium sits in northeast Madrid, near the airport and IFEMA convention centre — further out than most attractions on this site, with its own Metro station (Estadio Metropolitano, Line 7). Allow more travel time than for the more centrally located Bernabéu.
